This project was created for The Maple Media, a narrative column written by Gabriella Angelica.
The essay reflects on living with constant anxiety, emotional isolation, and the invisible expectations placed upon the eldest daughter in a family. Rather than illustrating the story literally, I explored emotional metaphors that quietly accompany each chapter.
The goal was to create illustrations that feel restrained, intimate, and contemplative—allowing the visual narrative to breathe alongside the text instead of overpowering it.
