Homeless
Editorial Illustration on Deforestation and Flooding
Homeless was created in response to the floods that struck Aceh Tamiang, Indonesia, amid widespread public discussions on the environmental impact of deforestation and large-scale palm oil expansion in the region. Through an aerial view of plantation landscapes, the word HOMELESS is subtly embedded within the composition, reflecting the displacement experienced not only by human communities but also by forests, wildlife, and ecosystems affected by ecological degradation. The illustration was later selected for a charity postcard exhibition, where the artworks were exhibited and sold to raise funds for communities impacted by the disaster.
