Sophie's World — A Conceptual Cover Redesign

This project explores Sophie's World as a philosophical experience rather than a conventional narrative. The illustrations were developed by focusing on emotional states, silence, and moments of contemplation—reflecting how philosophy often begins with curiosity and stillness. Visual elements such as vast landscapes, subtle human gestures, and surreal scale shifts are used to symbolize the process of questioning reality and self-awareness. Instead of providing direct answers, the imagery invites viewers to pause, observe, and form their own interpretations, echoing the book’s central idea that philosophy is rooted in wonder. The color palette and tonal choices were intentionally restrained to create a calm and introspective atmosphere, allowing space for reflection. This approach aligns with the novel’s gradual unfolding of ideas, where understanding emerges through questioning rather than explanation.
